Whole Health with Lana has been on my mind for a long time now. Whether it was the thought of a personal training gym, a group fitness studio, or online fitness and nutrition, the thought has been in the back of my mind ever since I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Health Science in 2014. Since then, I married my high school sweetheart, moved a handful of times, and had two kids-both boys. In the midst of all of that, I worked in multiple gyms in all different cities and gained a lot of experience and knowledge in the fitness field by working with all types of clients-young, old, athletes, doctors, uncoordinated, and everything in between. I love my job. I love making fitness fun for people. I love seeing someone's reaction after completing a fitness class or workout. It's always the look that says, "I can't believe I just did that". Now, whether that look is a positive or a negative is up to the person!
While training, I kept getting the same questions about food. What do you eat? What should I eat? Are carbs bad? Are carbs good? Should I eat peanut butter? The questions are endless... So, I decided to do something about it and bridge the gap between food and fitness. I am currently in the works on my Nutrition Coach certification through NASM. I hope to have the course completed soon and open up my services as a Nutrition Coach as soon as possible. For now, I am offering online personal training (group and one-on-one) and bootcamps/challenges while I make this transition.
My dreams for the future are actually quite simple. I want to share what I love. I love my family, cooking, gardening, dancing, and Jesus. I want to expand further into detail on each topic (and subtopic) in hopes to connect with a few of you and build a community of sweat-loving foodies that don't mind getting a little dirty every now and then. If that sounds like you, stay tuned for more because I'm only getting started.
