Set it and go!
I love a good slow cooker recipe. Being able to put all of the ingredients in a pot and leave it is extremely helpful on busy nights like when the kids have practice. These were so delicious with just a simple chopped onion and fresh cilantro on top. Sometimes the more simple, the better with food.
Ingredients
2.5 lbs pork butt
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup orange juice
Directions
Step 1
Mix all dry ingredients together and then sprinkle all over the pork.
Step 2
Place the pork in a slow cooker and drizzle the lime and orange juice on top. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
Serving suggestions: corn tortilla shells filled with the carnitas and topped with diced onions, shredded cabbage and fresh cilantro. We even had a little lite sour cream too!
