Quick Asian Tuna Dinner

Updated: Nov 7, 2022

Dinner in 20 minutes!

We have food in our freezers for a reason. The biggest reason for me is for nights when I just don't feel like being too creative, but I still want a healthy meal. That's how this meal was created. A simple bag of frozen Chinese-Style Vegetables and frozen Edamame (I used Cascadian Farms brand) and a meat will do the trick. I always keep frozen seafood in our freezer, which is why I went for the tuna steak. You could easily swap out whatever meat you prefer or have on hand with this.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen Chinese style vegetables

  • 1 bag of frozen shelled edamame

  • 1 tuna steak

  • 3 tsp liquid aminos

  • sesame seeds to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the frozen vegetables over low to medium heat in a pan with 1/4 cup of water until cooked all the way through.

  2. Top with 1-2 tsp of liquid aminos.

  3. Remove vegetables from pan.

  4. Sear the tuna over medium-high heat (drizzle 1 tsp of liquid aminos on top while cooking) and cook until it is done to your liking.

  5. Sprinkle the sesame seeds all over. I saved half of the vegetables for the next day; however, if you are cooking for two, you can simply add an extra tuna steak.
